Getting Help

NABS provides assistance to anyone and/or their families who have earned all or most of their income from advertising. This may include employment in an advertising agency, media, broadcast or print production, graphic arts, advertising or marketing departments within a company and other advertising-related jobs. A friend can also make a request for an application for a colleague in need.

Who Qualifies?

NABS provides assistance to anyone and/or their families who have earned all or most of their income from advertising. This may include employment in an advertising agency, media, broadcast or print production, graphic arts, advertising or promotions departments within a company and other advertising-related jobs.

Such people include those working with:

  • Media Buying Companies
  • Media Sales Companies
  • Direct Marketing Companies
  • Broadcast Production Companies (business depends on production of advertising)
  • TV and Radio Broadcasters (business depends on the sale of advertising time)
  • Magazine (business depends on the sale of advertising space)
  • Newspapers (business depends on the sale of advertising space)
  • Out of Home (business depends on the sale of advertising space)
  • Print Production Companies (business depends on the sale of advertising space)
  • Manufacturer's Advertising Departments
  • Client's Advertising Departments
  • Advertising Trade Magazine & Newspapers
  • Advertising Industry Associations

How Long Does NABS Help?

As long as it takes to get individuals and/or their families back on their feet again.

 

What is the Process?

Once an applicant qualifies for NABS assistance, a private and confidential session is arranged with Family Services, a national group of professional counselors. Family Services then recommends a course of action to the NABS Allocations Committee, which then acts promptly and in complete confidence to provide the needed help.
